The green Bop highchair from Mamas & Papas looks insanely overpriced at £54.99 to me. Are you spending that much money because of the brand name or because it is a superior design? I’m not inclined to believe it is the latter if I am honest. I got a cheap and cheerful highchair for only £10 and it worked just fine.

This is a great deal for fans of the brand though as it has features such as a removable tray and a five-point harness. That’s it though, and it really doesn’t look very comfortable at all for poor baby. I wouldn’t recommend it, but if this is your cup of tea, then the price is very definitely right.

In Hidey House, two players try to guess where the other player has hidden their items in their house in this plotting game.

You place your items in your house board and choose a room and number to see if the other player has an item there in that room: if you find a piece, you keep it.

Mark places where you have found things with a green face and places where you have not with a red face to remind yourself. The game is ideal for children because it's not hugely drawn out: there are four pieces to find, and the first person to find all four pieces wins.

It's been one of the biggest adjustments in parenting for me, having to take snacks with us and plan for hungry toddlers. It took a while for me to cotton on, and my daughter was constantly asking friends for their snacks, and I kind of got the message and bought a bunch of supplies for snack, and bowls to put them in.

I did find that they go missing a lot though, so while my first set were quite expensive, I didn't make that mistake the second time round, and this set for just under £6 for six bowls with lids would be just as perfect.

They have a capacity of 250ml so can hold a fair bit, are 100% airtight and can be cold sterilised, though why you would sterilise food bowls for tots is beyond me.

They are BPA free though, so no nasties leaching into your snackpots.

Now just to fill them and you're off.

We were recently sent samples of the Shampoo and Bodywash (£4.08), the Bubble Bath (£5.49) and the Body Lotion (£5.10), all of which available in Soothing Chamomile, Calming Lavender or Happy Mandarin fragrances.

The shampoo and bodywash makes light work of bath night - I particularly love only needing one bottle at bath time, and unlike many other 2-in-1 products this actually works as a really decent shampoo. It became a firm favourite after swimming lessons in our house too, making for a quick and easy exit from the yucky pool showers but doing an impressive job of completely eliminating all those nasty pool chemical smells.

A little of the bubble bath seems to go a long way too, and it doesn't generate too many bubbles - always something of a hazard in our house. The shampoo and bodywash has a disc-top cap too, enabling you to keep one hand on baby at all times, and the all-over body lotion is so gentle it can even be used on baby’s face. The Happy Mandarain scent is the fragrance that most gets my vote though - I could sniff that stuff all day.

These probably aren't the cheapest baby bathcare brands you'll find, but the bottle sizes are more than generous, meaning the products last a decent length of time. And for eco-friendly, organic and natural ingredients from a trusted brand I think they represent fairly reasonable value for money.

My enduring memories of swingball...? I wasn't destined to be the next Maria Sharapova! I hated playing swingball then, and you won't catch me playing swingball now.

The only upside of it, that I can see, is you don't have to go hunting for tennis balls in the bushes, or knocking on your neighbour's door to ask if you can have your balls back please.

I'm sure you all know how swingball works - the ball is attached to a metal pole, that you stab into the ground, and then you bash it round and round the pole with your opponent. The pole is height adjustable and it comes with two bats...and obviously the ball, on the string.

Seriously, Bin Weevils?!! Who on earth decided that Bin Weevils would make GREAT toys for kids and managed to persuade some top toy execs that it was a winning idea?!

I've not come across them before (or if I have, I've managed to erase them from my memory!), I can't say they appeal very much, and I can guarantee that my youngest son probably loves them - I'll have to ask him.

There are three Bin Weevils up for grabs for a decent price - talking plush ones, for £4.05 instead of £14.99. Apparently, having asked my good friend Google, the whole Bin Weevil things came about from a short on Nikelodeon (where else!) and spawned an entire culture all of its own.

There's something about fish and fishing games, my daughter loves. She's always attracted to them. I don't know why, but I know she'd have loved this game a few years ago, and probably even now!

This wooden peg puzzle, featuring 10 colourful fish, includes ten interchangeable pieces, allowing children to make a different school of fish every time. I guess the idea is that they colourmatch, but they can also fit into the other fish-body-hole bits, so you can make colourful fish.

The names of the colours are under the pieces, so should help with word recognition too.
